What is it?:

Powered by your battery, your car's electrical system basically controls every task in your vehicle, from sending sparks to your sparkplugs to firing the air bags when you crash.

Maintenance:

Well there is not much to maintain other than a fuse on an older vehicle or checking the alternator to make sure you dont run low on juice in the battery. Fuses are pretty straitforward and you should consult your manual if you think a fuse has blown as they are often hidden well inside the dash and can be a pain to get at. Sometimes there is fuses under the hood, and these will be much easier to service.

Conclusion:

Often times a dash board warning indicator will light up and sometimes the solution is a simple faulty fuse, don't hesitate to use online sources to diagnose your issue. A quick check on google or your favorite search engine will often show others who have been through the same issues with your make and model of vehicle, google it!
