My Mini Cooper 2002, base model. I need to reset AIR Bags light, or check what wrong with the AIR Bags. And as well I want to have an inexpensive diagnostic tool for checking an errors.
I found the BMW INPA K+CAN from uobd2, but it just can do air bags light, there are other devices have both the above two kinds of function?

Well i know this works for the 2003 model (and i believe there is no cheap tool for scanning, you will need to visit the mechanic):

1. Turn on the ignition switch with your car key. The switch is often located beside the steering wheel, and it has four positions: on, off, start and accessories. Some vehicles include two off positions for the lock and off, one allows your key to be removed from your car ignition while the other allows you to turn off the car.

2. Wait for the airbag warning light to turn off. This usually takes around seven seconds. Turn the ignition off a second after the airbag light has turned off.

3. Turn the ignition switch of your car back off for a little longer than three seconds.

4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 twice to make three times total.

5. Turn your ignition switch back on to fully reset the airbag light. Once you start your car, your airbag light should turn on for around seven seconds before finally turning off.

Tips & Warnings

If your airbag light fails to reset or turn off, your airbag system may have a problem. You need to either pay for a specialist to diagnose the problem further or troubleshoot the system yourself. Make sure to follow the recommended steps of your vehicle's manufacturer.
